History

Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)

To strengthen our international relations, in 2006 we have founded the “Hungarian Student Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)”, an international organization in the field of energy management.

AEE was founded in 1977 in the United States, however, today it is present in more than 100 countries, with more than 18 000 members.

The association's greatest event is the annual World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) in the US with more than 1000 participants. Since 2007, our association also took part several times, representing the 'Chapter' and the Hungarian department in award ceremonies, galas, as well as professional meetings and presentations. Furthermore, our members annually publish their studies at the conference.

Our Organisation has won the „Best Student Chapter International” award every year between 2007 and 2013, and again in 2017. Also, on two occasions in 2011 and 2014, we were able to take home the „Best Newsletter International” award from the USA.In addition, the Student Department also works in joint organization on KLENEN conference with the Hungarian Scientific Society of Energy Economics, Energy Efficiency Department.
